The newly built Heywood Sports Village opened in September 2010 and its excellent swimming pools, sports hall and fitness facilities has seen participation continue to grow since that time. It has possibly the best outdoor floodlit artificial pitches in the borough supported by extensive team changing facilities. Its modern design and friendly welcome make it a firm favourite with users.

Activities at the Village include: Link4Life Swim Academy, Active Kids, Trampolining, Village Glee, Mini Madness, Sports Zone, Futsal and Football Fridays.

Heywood Sports Village is located two minutes from Heywood town centre with convenient bus services to Bury, Rochdale and Manchester. By car, Heywood is approx five minutes from the M62 (Junction 19).

Heywood Sports Village is fully accessible to all public areas with lift to the upper floor. Customers are invited to discuss any special needs. There is free on-site parking for 200 cars with disabled and family parking bays available. Car park access is from West Starkey Street.
