Since 1989 Hollingworth Lake Water Activity Centre has offered quality tuition in outdoor activities. This provision has been available to schools, youth groups and the general public, continuing the proud tradition of water based activities on Hollingworth Lake including sailing, kayaking, canoeing, powerboating and windsurfing as well as outdoor activities including rock climbing and mountain biking. A £300,000 extension to the centre in 2010 doubled the size of the facilities available.
Hollingworth Lake is a 130 acre reservoir in the Hollingworth area of Littleborough - part of the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale.

This fantastic facility is part of Littleborough's £650,000 refurbishment. The wall which is over 7 metres high and has 14 routes of varying difficulty has been designed to offer a number of progressive and challenging courses for both adults and children alike.Using qualified climbing instructors from Hollingworth Lake, these courses will be both fun and informative.
