Marland Golf Course is a public 18 hole parkland course measuring 5237 yards, par 67. It is located in Springfield Park, Rochdale on the road between Rochdale and Heywood.
Our resident PGA Professional, Danny Youd, is available for group or individual tuition - please contact him for details. Danny operates a fully stocked Pro Shop on site with equipment available for hire.
Society Package for Summer
In partnership with the Success to the Plough Pub Restaurant, Marland Golf Course has put together a special summer society package for all their golfers. With a wide range of meals ranging from bar snacks to three course meals, golfers will save 10% when they show that day's course receipt. It's the ideal way to finish off a round of golf!
Tee times operate at weekends only and can be booked up to one week in advance either in person or by telephone. A deposit must be paid at the time of booking. Payments are accepted by cash, cheque, and credit or debit card.
The golf course is also the home to Springfield Park Golf Club.

Directions to the course
The golf course is located inside Springfield Park, approx 2 miles from Rochdale town centre. It is easily accessible both by public transport and car.
The course is approx 10 minutes drive from the nearby motorway network. From M62, junction 20, follow signs for Bury (A58). From M66, junction 2, follow signs for Rochdale (A58), through Heywood. From Rochdale heading for Heywood, turn right at the Tesco onto Bolton Road, Marland/Springfield Park is about ½ mile on the right after the pelican crossing.

Course Improvements

Over £15,000 of improvement works have taken place over the last 12 months in addition to the ongoing annual maintenance work.
- A turf specialist was procured to laser level, rotivate and lay new turf on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 11th and 13th tees. The 3rd and 12th Competition tees and the 4th Ladies tee has also been re-turfed and levelled
- All greenside bunkers have been refurbished with new sand and general maintenance
- 18th green drainage improvements have been completed and tree work to increase light and air to the green to improve the condition of this signature hole
- Improvements to pathways to 2nd tee
- Improvements have been made to the waiting area, including installing a new pathway
- The 10th tee has been widened to accommodate and supplement the tee levelling works
- The car park has been extensively improved by Rochdale MBC
- A new machine has been purchased by Link4Life to provide the team with an all year round aeration machine. This will predominantly be used on the greens and tees.
