Work on the new Heywood Sports, Culture & Leisure Village started on Monday 15 June. To ensure smooth running of the project from the outset, all visitors and staff working at the Sports Complex are advised that direct access between the Gaskell Swimming Pool and the Jack Talbot Sports Hall will be restricted from 15 June to allow enabling works to be progressed. Access will be via the pavement on West Starkey Street and not directly across the car park. Follow the progress of the building by clicking here or on our Flickr photostream at www.flickr.com/link4life.
During the long summer break there are occasions when what may appear to be a bit of harmless fun, can be seen differently by other people and could carry some quite serious consequences if it gets out of hand. Safe4summer will aim to provide young people and people of all ages with enough interests and activities to banish boredom. Look here to find out what events and activities are happening in your area over the summer holidays.
