The Arts & Heritage Service has a dedicated community gallery known as Gallery One.
Gallery One is the space for people who live or work in the borough of Rochdale to organise and show their own exhibitions. As a result, the exhibitions in Gallery One are very varied, reflecting the range of interests and talent that exist in the Borough.
Recent exhibitions have ranged from artwork created by prisoners at HMP Buckley Hall to Arts & Design students at Hopwood Hall College putting on a show as part of their course to celebrating the heritage of the Belfield area of Rochdale.

Exhibitions in Gallery One are selected by an independent community panel who meet twice a year to look through all the applications which have been received since the last meeting.
We welcome applications from individuals, groups and organisations based anywhere in the Borough, which includes Rochdale, Heywood, Middleton and Littleborough. If you would like to be considered for an exhibition between May and September 2010 send your completed application form and accompanying images into Touchstones Rochdale by December 2009. You can download the application form and guidance notes here or pick one up at Touchstones Rochdale reception.
