Aura are a Manchester based band with soaring potential, matched only by their harmonies and hooks. With inner turmoil giving way to creative bliss they are fast attracting attention across the Northwest, leading to supporting slots for the good and great of Indie and Rock such as Hot Club de Paris and Hundred Reasons and Skins Parties. After a year of sold outs gigs peaking at the The Ritz, Manchester the band were ready to release their first demo, with plans for the production of a second in the near future, expect a steady increase of gigs inside and outside of Manchester!

Celebration: 90th Anniversary Concert
From the award winning North Manchester AODS comes a concert to cater for all tastes of music from the shows and the charts.

Award winning North Manchester Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society are ninety years old this year, and to celebrate they are presenting a special one-off concert to be performed at Middleton Arena. The society, whose most famous members include ex-Dr. Who Colin Baker and Meg Johnson who plays Emmerdale’s Pearl Ladderbanks, will be performing songs from hit shows such as Les Miserables, Pirates of Penzance, Phantom of the Opera, Fiddler on the Roof, Sweeney Todd, Carousel, Annie Get Your Gun, Oklahoma!, Cats, South Pacific and more.

They have decided to present hits from the shows as it will provide the audience with an idea of what they have performed in the past, what they are currently doing and what they plan to do in the future as well as providing a wonderful night of entertainment.

Some of the profits for the evening will be given to the British Heart Foundation.

'Red Hot Swing' is a celebration of all things Swing and Big Band with a modern twist. This new production includes all the great tunes of the 'Rat Pack' and swing era performed live on stage by 'Swing 16', a truly swinging Big Band introducing some of the more contemporary numbers as updated by the likes of Robbie Williams and Michael Buble. Inspired by the revival of the big band sound, the show features a full ensemble performing dazzling dance routines with full choreography and showcases a variety of the best male and female vocalists from the North West.
