Work Experience and Work Placements
In partnership with many local schools and colleges we at Hollingworth Lake Water Activity Centre have developed a specially designed work experience programme. This programme offers the participant the opportunity to gain coaching, administrative and group management experience, as well as providing an insight into all of the behind the scenes workings of a busy Water Activity Centre.
We offer a range of different work experience plans to suit any individual’s needs and timescales. The programmes can range from single week school work experience activities to 6 month long university work placements, including National Governing Body qualification courses and preparation for instructor training courses.
Many of the people who have attended our work experience programme have gone into employment at centres across the country, taking with them the skills and knowledge learned during their time with us.
Our work experience scheme is ideal for anyone with an enthusiasm for outdoor pursuits and an interest in working in the outdoor industry. A work experience placement at Hollingworth Lake could be the first step towards a career as an outdoor instructor.
