Enjoy a diverse programme of exhibitions from members of the local community. Gallery One reflects the wide range of interests and creative talents that exist in our Borough.

Rochdale & District MIND: Peace of Mind
4 September – 31 October 2010
Art for Wellbeing is a project using art to promote general wellbeing and recovery
from mental illness which has been taking place at Landing Craft in Rochdale.
The exhibition highlights the creative skills of participants and the artwork they have
produced, linking in with World Mental Health Day on 10 October.

Charlotte Howard: English Rose
15 January – 6 March 2011
Charlotte’s prints and animations are concerned with time and memory, incorporating everyday objects to trigger the viewer’s own memories. This is Charlotte’s first solo exhibition since graduating from Leeds University in summer 2010.

100 Years of Girl Guiding in Rochdale
6 November 2010 – 9 January 2011
In 2010 Girl Guiding UK celebrates its centenary year, and this exhibition
showcases Girl Guiding in the Rochdale area through photographs, objects and the
memories of those past and present. Encompassing Rainbows, Brownies,
Guides, Senior Section & Leaders, find out more about the impact of the Guiding
Movement locally, and a vision for the future of the organisation, of which one in seven girls and young women are a part. Look out for family activities linked to the exhibition.
