The Healthy Workforce Programme aims to promote health and wellbeing to employees by providing a variety of fitness, sport and activity sessions, as well as advice on health and exercise. It has been in existence for over five years and has become an established and popular service targeted at public sector employees.

Significant health benefits have been recorded by individuals and this has been mirrored by a measurable fall in sickness absence levels.

This service is now available to businesses operating within both the public and private sector and includes health checks, subsidised sport and fitness activities and organised competitions and tournaments in a fun and informal atmosphere.
