This exhibition takes its starting point from a fascinating historic quilt in our museum collection. The quilt records the sewn names of over two hundred Rochdale citizens in 1895.
Jill Randall: Place / Displace - Gallery Four 14 December 2013 – 8 March 2014
Jill Randall's work is firmly rooted in contemporary sculpture practice, making and materiality. Conceptually driven, her work exploits the qualities and associations of materials and often involves the recycling of materials invested with history and narrative through their past use.
